The simple answer to this is hair quality.
Remy hair refers to hair that has not had its cuticle stripped and has at least been partially hand-processed to maintain root-tip alignment. This hair is more expensive but will remain in good condition for much longer than stripped hair. It can also be heat styled and coloured.
However just because you hear the word REMY human hair, please do not automatically think that the hair is great quality. Human hair comes in different origins and also different grades. The grading of the hair tells you what type of chemical process the extensions have been through to get them to the desired colour. The origin of the hair is also important, Russian, Brazilian and indian hair is the best quality hair.
Another factor is wether the hair is single drawn or double drawn. Double drawn hair means the hair is the same length from root to tip.
Please when you are considering having Hair Extensions please remember you only get what you pay for… if the price sounds to good to be true then it usually is. If you see hair extensions advertised for £200 or less for individual strands ask yourself how much has the technician paid for the hair? We do not work for free and within the price is the technicians fee. I see so many people with badly fitted cheap extensions it’s actually frightening.
